WHEN THE LORD OF THE UNIVERSE CRIED…

WHEN THE LORD OF THE UNIVERSE CRIED…

It is he whom she seeks

The austere Lord,

She wants to be his consort

All she knows and believes is Him

Through Him, she will live

The surreal grace of him she will receive

She, the one and only woman

Whom now the world reveres

Once who was a Princess

She finally got what she deserved

Her soul was pure yet it burnt

She bore the brunt

She fed the lord of Fire

He got her lord’s ire,

The universe lamented

Nature died

Gods wept, everyone cried

She was gone

The life of him

She was gone…

He was now the seeker

He was now the beggar

His “HE” was lost

Because without Yang, Yin was nowhere to be found

That scream, that piteous cry

All dimensions lost their senses

The Almighty grieved

His pain unbearable

They were separated, those who were inseparable

No mortal, immortal, divine or devil

Could break this spell, this ill will

Nothing could even begin to imagine his penury

It was an irrepairable injury

He became a walking dead

All his followers were in great distress

He lamented, he almost died

Virbhadra he became, his beloved’s death he avenged;

But how sweet is revenge?

It brought him even greater despair—

This hurt he could never repair.

His eyes filled with tears afresh

His brow throbbed, his forehead burned

The man with the third eye, how he yearned

Kailasha bore testimony

To the vivisectioning of the Neelkantha

O! Sati! O! my Shakti!

Tandava, I will perform

From night to dawn

I will destruct

No one can interrupt—-

Vishnu intervened

Sudarshana cut up Shiva’s ethereal dream

The fifty two Shaktipeethas till today gleam

Such is the story of my Lord and his consort

Shiva, Bhairav, Nataraj

Pranava, Trilokpati, Anantadrishti

A thousand names he has

Adi-shakti, Gauri, Pinaakdharini

Shaambhavi, Vandurga, Bhadrakali

My mother

Call her by whatever name you choose to utter.

Let it be known Kamesha and Kamesha Manasa are one soul.

The dance of Shiva

The Shakti of Parvati

The universe and all that is

From them it unfolds

Their story is the story of love divine

Their beings are forever entwined.

Praise be to them,

Those who suffered bore everything for the larger good

May their divine light and halo

Guide each soul through the path of enlightenment

That is tough,     strict and narrow

May every being of light

Merge, revel and glorify in their guiding light.

AN ODE TO APHRODITE… (a poem about the greek goddess of beauty)

AN ODE TO APHRODITE…

My thirst was quenched when I first beheld you

Blessed are those eyes that have partaken your sight

You are a living reincarnation of Goddess Aphrodite

You possess me, I adore you,

I am your slave at your beck and call

I am an egoless man now,

Once a proud man I was.

Before you this six foot man

Doth stand an inch tall

Part those divine lips

Let the flame kindle

Yet pause a little,

Speech is not an attribute in which your pristine self dabbles

what would the servant Speech do for you?

The work of voice you have none,

For what use would articulation be to one-

Whose eyes are worth unfathomable suns?

O! Miss. Pulchritude

Would you care to be aware of my presence?

Of him who stands rooted to spot

Lest he misses the moment when

your blessed glance on him falls.

CHRONICLES OF SATAN FOR THE WISE

CHRONICLES OF SATAN FOR THE WISE

   1

Diabolical, infernal Demogorgon

Stirs and sighs,

Selene has gone with Endymion

It is a moonless night,

Mephistopheles – he who shuns light,

Eurynomos – the Greek prince who brings death to life,

Abbadon – The destroyer himself and

Yama – The lord of death,

All come to life.

( refererence:Demogorgon- the most evil spirit ever, its shadow spells doom,

Selene- Greek goddess of moon

Endymion- selene’s lover)

This reign of terror

This abyssmally dark night

Mortals, beware !

The devil incarnate lurks right behind.

They rip off your souls

They disturb all roles

Avarice, ego, jealousy, arrogance

Sins of flesh and mind arise,

You wont even know, slowly they become leviathan in size,

because their seeds are nurtured and sown,

by the devil’s own,

Her name’s Maya

She’s the devil’s accomplice,

the devil’s advocate,

Deceptive, beautiful, crafty, and charming,

Money, fame and power are all her adornments.

All humans to her tunes sing,

She is the one who materialistic pleasures brings.

     2

This is the nature of duality,

Adversity is the friend of chastity,

Sybarites have a gala time,

Spartans are blamed for every crime.

Satan has a myriad shades,

Myriad helpers, myriad ways.

Keep your soul locked in fetters,

Lest it runs amok-

Satan’s kin either barters or mocks.

All virtues of yours you hide,

Devils hold them in spite.

On this moonless night,

Keep your flights of fancy to the gods alive,

Remember the devil has tried to tempt every great soul

Be it Jesus or Prophet Muhammad, it is well known.

  3

Satan questioned Jesus’s status as the Son of God,

“If you are the Son of God, turn these stones into bread”

Bread symbolises all desires of the flesh,

But the son of god replied,

“It is god’s will by bread alone man doth not survive”.

For the second temptation, the locale was set,

Jesus was to jump from a temple’s topmost point in Jerusalem

at Satan’s behest,

To this request, the blessed lord of lords, retorts in jest,

“In the scripture, it is also written –

do not put the Lord, your God, to test’”

In the third temptation satan showed jesus all the kingdoms of this world—their glory and political authority,

He tried to subjugate The Christ into accepting him as the supreme authority,

But all he got was Immanuel’s rebuke,

To Satan, the Blessed Jesus of Nazareth firmly spoke,

“Away from me, Satan!

The Messiah stood victorious over satan and his temptations-

so can all humans

but to do this , let us know Satan up close and upfront,

His most powerful weapon is thine own son,

He will argue and counterargue,

Till your conscience is overdone-

Then it’ll occupy its throne,

Your heart it will turn to stone.

It will take possession of your mind and soul

And will adeptly condemn you to doom.

     4

So, listen, to the other side of this unique story

Always judge for yourself

What is deception and where is glory-

There are many who for a few pieces of gold

Have their conscience sold

Lost legacies of good karma and behold!

Are still penancing each day

For every thought of yours is here to stay.

Let not yourself sway to the lilting melodies that Satan plays.

For Buddha too, was a mere mortal, same as we-

Its just a fallacy that he was he

And supremely different from you and me.

A MUCH AWAITED  MEETING

I will meet my self one day

Whether it is on a star yet not born,

Or on some planet undiscovered,

It may even be on earth or on water.

But this much I know,

I will meet myself one day

In my purest form.

I do not know in what garb

But when I do meet my self,

I will cry to my heart’s content

And then my eyes will brim with tears of joy-

I will meet myself

And then for, forever, I will die.
